Team
Philosophy
Walnut Country Swim Team (WCST)
provides an affordable activity open to families of Walnut Country
and neighboring communities where swimmers can improve their skills
in a fun, enriching atmosphere. Our goal is to be recognized
as one of the most successful and spirited recreational swim teams
in the area.
Our recreational swim team is available to swimmers of all
abilities. While we do compete in meets with other teams
throughout the summer, usually on Wednesday nights and Saturday
mornings, the level of competition is balanced. Each swimmer
is primarily encouraged to improve their own times throughout the
summer, with plenty of awards given to all swimmers.
Through excellent coaching and family involvement, WCST challenges
swimmers to develop their physical skills, personal character and
ability to work toward team and individual goals.
We also provide a welcoming environment for families to form new
friendships and develop a sense of community. This adds to the
overall friendliness of our great neighborhood.
